Billing and top-ups
Reading through Claude runs on a free monthly allowance of tool calls. When you need more, you top up with any amount. That is the whole model.
The free plan
Every account starts on the free plan: 300 tool calls a month, all 312 tools, refreshed on the 1st of each month, UTC. No card is ever required, there is no trial that expires, and there is nothing to cancel. If you stop using Lumin, nothing happens and nothing is charged.
Topping up
When the monthly allowance is not enough, you top up with calls. Any amount works, starting at 1 USD for 400 calls, and larger top-ups carry a better rate.
This is not a subscription. You pay once, the calls arrive on your account as extra calls, and they never expire. One call is one call, every tool costs the same, and there are no weighted credits to decode.
More calls simply means more readings, and deeper ones. A quick lookup is a handful of calls; a full reading across every phase is 25 to 40.
How to buy
There is no card checkout. A top up is a request, and the flow is three steps:
- Ask for a top up on the Billing page at app.lumin.guru/settings/billing, or write to contact@lumin.guru from the email address you sign in with, saying how much you want to add.
- We reply with a payment link for the amount.
- Once the payment lands, the calls arrive on your account as extra calls, usually the same day. The Billing page shows what is left.
Extra calls
Every call beyond the free allowance is an extra call on your account. Extra calls come from a top up you paid for, or from Lumin as a gift, and both are one balance. Every API key on the account and the Claude connector share it.
The free allowance is always spent first. Extra calls are drawn only once the month's free calls are used, and they never expire. A failed call is never charged, the same rule the free allowance follows.

If you are building a product or business on Lumin and this does not fit your volume, we can add more calls to your account, which every key and the Claude connector share. Email contact@lumin.guru with a sentence about what you are building and the volume you expect.
The Lumin app
The web app at app.lumin.guru is billed differently. It runs on an Anthropic API key of your own, so Anthropic bills you for the tokens it uses and Lumin charges nothing. See The Lumin app.
