Billing and top-ups
Lumin billing is deliberately simple, and it splits cleanly in two. The app is billed by Anthropic on your own key. The connector runs on a free monthly allowance that you top up with any amount. That is the entire model.
The Lumin app: Anthropic bills you
Readings at app.lumin.guru run on your own Anthropic API key, which you add once on your profile page. Anthropic charges your account for the tokens your readings use, at their published rates, and Lumin charges you nothing and takes no cut. There is no allowance to run out of, no daily message limit and no cost cap on your conversations. Details are on Your Anthropic key.

Everything below is about the Lumin connector, the route where you read inside Claude or call the MCP server with an API key. It has its own meter and does not use your Anthropic key.
The connector free plan
Every account starts on the free plan: 300 tool calls a month, all 218 tools, refreshed on the 1st of each month, UTC. No card is ever required, there is no trial that expires, and there is nothing to cancel. If you stop using Lumin, nothing happens and nothing is charged.
Topping up
When the monthly connector allowance is not enough, you top up with calls. Any amount works, starting at 1 USD for 400 calls, and larger top-ups carry a better rate.
This is not a subscription. You pay once, the calls sit on your account, and they never expire. One call is one call, every tool costs the same, and there are no weighted credits to decode.
More calls simply means more readings, and deeper ones. A quick lookup is a handful of calls; a full reading across every phase is 25 to 40.
How to buy
Top-ups are arranged by email while card checkout is on the way. The flow is three steps:
- Write to contact@lumin.guru from the email address you sign in with, saying how much you want to add.
- We reply with payment details for a direct transfer.
- Once the payment lands, the calls are credited to your account, usually the same day. You can see the balance on the Developer page at developer.lumin.guru.
Topped-up calls are spent only after the month's free allowance is used, and a failed call is never charged, the same rule the free allowance follows.

If you are building a product or business on Lumin and this does not fit your volume, custom limits are available. Email contact@lumin.guru with a sentence about what you are building and the volume you expect.
