The seven-phase reading
When Lumin runs 25 to 40 tool calls in sequence, it is following the orthodox KP reading protocol. Knowing the phases lets you read the answer like an astrologer would.
Depth is not optional
The protocol carries minimum call counts, and they are enforced rather than suggested. A life-area question (marriage, career, health, money, children, foreign settlement, property, legal, or the timing of an event) takes at least 20 tool calls, and usually 25 to 40. One focused question about a single event or window takes at least 12, usually 15 to 20. Even a simple lookup, a nakshatra or one planet's position, takes at least 5. Nothing that touches a birth chart is answered in fewer.
That floor exists because a plausible-sounding verdict arrives long before a defensible one does. In KP the depth is the reading, so Lumin does not stop at the first answer that would satisfy, and it does not offer to go deeper as an extra. Going deeper is the job.
The seven phases
- Chart foundation. Pull planets, cusps, nakshatras, house strengths, and boundary warnings. Establishes what the chart actually says before any interpretation, and flags cusps sitting so close to a sublord boundary that a small birth-time error would flip the verdict.
- Promise analysis. Read the cuspal sublords for the relevant event and pull the four-level significator matrix, plus doshas and yogas. Decides whether the event is even possible from this chart, and which planets carry it.
- Timing precision. Filter the significators against the current ruling planets to find the fruitful ones, then scan the dasha calendar three levels deep: mahadasha, antardasha, pratyantardasha. All three must agree, three locks on one door.
- Transit telescope. Cascade through Saturn (a 2.5-year window), Jupiter (the year), Sun (the month), Moon (the day). Filter retrograde invalidations.
- Verification and context. Read the ruling planets of the moment and scan for their peak windows, plus the day's panchang and the annual backdrop. A predicted time is only believable when the ruling planets overlap the event's significators.
- Advanced techniques. Fire whichever specialist tools fit the question. Marriage track: second marriage, separation, compatibility, spouse traits. Health track: oncology timing, chronic disease panel, fertility window, accident window, longevity (balarishta), Ayurvedic constitution. Career and life: profession description, career signature, education signature, foreign settlement, visa documentation. Decision and outcome: property, election, sport, speculative intraday, lost or missing. Plus financial, legal, litigation timeline, muhurta, mundane analysis, twin differentiation, mantra recommendation, and rectification.
- Synthesis. Reconcile all of the above into a single answer with explicit reasoning. The summary you read is grounded in the previous six phases.
Why all seven, every time
Skipping any phase produces a weaker answer. Skipping the promise check leads to confident predictions for events the chart never supported. Skipping ruling planets leads to dates that look right but are not. Skipping advanced techniques leads to generic answers for questions that have specialist tools available.
