Compatibility match

Most kundli-matching tools give you a single 36-point score and stop. Lumin runs three independent compatibility systems on the same two charts and tells you whether they agree, partially agree, or diverge.

Note

KP Reader 4 explicitly rejects Porutham (the traditional 36-point match). Lumin ships both because matrimonial families expect the traditional score, but it pairs it with KP-rigorous 6-CSL-factor compatibility and Jaimini's Upapada Lagna relationship, so the user sees the full picture, not just one school's verdict.

What you get

  • Ashta Koota, the 36-point Vedic Guna Milan. Varna + Vashya + Tara + Yoni + Graha-Maitri + Gana + Bhakoota + Nadi. Plus Nadi Dosha and Bhakoot Dosha flags.
  • KP-rigorous 6-CSL-factor, LOVE / MARRIAGE / FINANCE / UNION / DENIAL / DASHA-SYNC. The KP-school replacement for Porutham.
  • Manglik check on both partners, and whether mutual Manglik cancellation applies.
  • Jaimini Upapada Lagna relationship, TRINE / KENDRA (harmonious), 6/8 / 2/12 (challenging).
  • Cross-system concordance, STRONG (all three systems align) / PARTIAL (two of three) / DIVERGENT (systems disagree).

How to ask

Set my birth profile:
- Born: 1992-08-14 at 04:32 (IST)
- Place: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Run a complete compatibility match with my partner:
- Born: 1994-03-22 at 11:15 (IST)
- Place: Mumbai, India

Lumin will call run_kundli_match_complete and return all three school's verdicts plus the concordance.

How to read the concordance

  • STRONG, Vedic, KP, and Jaimini all align favourably. Highest-confidence match.
  • PARTIAL, two of three schools agree. Read the individual koota / factor breakdown to see where the third diverges.
  • DIVERGENT, systems disagree. Specific blockers (Nadi Dosha, KP DENIAL signature, UL 6/8) need direct discussion.

What the schools mean

Ashta Koota tests cultural / familial / temperamental fit on 8 axes. Think of it as the "first-impression match."

KP-rigorous compatibility tests whether each partner's cuspal sub-lords actively support the marriage event for the other. Closer to "long-arc karmic fit."

Jaimini Upapada Lagna tests the perceived shape of the marriage, what the world will see, how each partner instinctively projects themselves into the union.

Three different lenses on one relationship. STRONG concordance is rare and powerful. PARTIAL or DIVERGENT is normal, most real couples sit there, and the value is knowing exactly which axis carries the friction.
