Concept
KP, Vedic, Jaimini, Tajik
Lumin started as a pure KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) platform. As it grew into a B2B personalization engine, the surface broadened to include Vedic Parashari, Jaimini, and Tajik tools. Each lineage is a distinct signal channel, useful in different B2B verticals.
Why multi-lineage
For a personalization recommendation engine, multi-lineage is strictly better than single-school. Each tradition asks different questions of the same chart and produces different signals. A matrimonial platform wants a 36-point Ashta Koota score because that is what Indian families look at; a career coach wants Jaimini's Amatyakaraka because that names the soul's professional tool; a wellness app wants Ayurvedic prakriti.
Lumin gives consumers all four traditions as labelled, separable signals. A consumer can choose to surface only KP, only Vedic, or any combination, the lineage tag in each tool's description makes the choice transparent.
Lineage taxonomy
- KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati). The depth specialty. Cuspal Sub Lord (CSL) verdicts, ruling planets, sub-lord theory, 1-249 horary, advanced techniques. The brand promise. ~75 tools.
- Vedic Parashari. Classical BPHS yogas, doshas, divisional charts (D2/D3/D4/D6/D7/D8/D9/D10/D12/D16/D20/D24/D27/D30/D40/D45/D60), Shadbala, Bhava Bala, Vimsopaka Bala, Sade Sati. ~40 tools.
- Jaimini. Chara Karakas, Arudha Lagna, Upapada Lagna, Karakamsa, Ishta Devata, Chara Dasha. ~6 tools.
- Tajik. Persian-influenced annual chart canon: Varshaphala, Tithi Pravesha, 15 standard Sahams. ~3 tools.
- Vedic muhurta. Daily-timing canon: Choghadiya, Hora, Tara Bala, Panchang. ~4 tools.
- Cross-system. Modern hybrid lenses: Bhrigu Bindu, past-life karmic panel, Saturn return, Jupiter return, eclipse impact. ~6 tools.
How lineage tags work
Every non-KP tool description starts with a bracketed lineage tag, for example, [Vedic Parashari], [Jaimini], [Tajik], [Vedic kundli match], [Vedic muhurta], [Vedic alt-dasha], or [Cross-system reference]. Pure KP tools carry no tag.
A B2B integrator can filter by tag at the surface level. The KP brand line "personalization you can trace" still holds, the math is in kp-engine, every tool computes from scratch with no third-party astrology library, and the lineage tag tells the consumer which school's math is being shown.
Where KP and Vedic disagree, present BOTH
KP Reader 4 explicitly rejects Porutham (the 36-pt Vedic match). Yet we ship get_ashta_koota_milan alongside get_compatibility_advanced (KP-rigorous 6-CSL-factor) because matrimonial-platform consumers expect both. The composite workflow run_kundli_match_complete emits a cross-system concordance verdict (STRONG / PARTIAL / DIVERGENT) so the consumer sees where the schools agree and where they diverge.
Same pattern for marriage, career, children: KP gives the CSL verdict, Vedic gives the divisional-chart verdict, Jaimini gives the karaka verdict. Higher concordance = stronger prediction. Lower concordance = surface the disagreement, never hide it.
