Chidra Dasha Windows
get_chidra_dasha
Last 1/8 of every mahadasha, the classical 'Chidra' window of transition, anti-climax, and karmic close-out. Returns each MD's Chidra start/end dates, the broader 1/4 window, and current/past/future flags. Use to advise pausing major launches as a mahadasha approaches its close. Books: KP Reader 3 ch.51.
Parameters

| ayanamsa | enum: kp | lahiri | raman | true_chitra | No | Ayanamsa system. Defaults to kp. |
| query_date | string | No | ISO date to evaluate against (default: now). |

This tool delegates to the kp-engine endpoint:
POST /v1/kp/chidra-dashaThe engine is a private internal service. All public access flows through the MCP server, which handles auth, rate limiting, and response compaction.
Birth data
This tool requires birth data. If you have already called set_birth_profile in the same conversation, the MCP server injects those fields automatically and you can omit them from the call.
